I write about the loss of innocence and what we dare in order to recover it; about how families damage and rebuild their ecosystem; and about grief, all from a comic point of view. I admire stylists more than plotmasters, the rhythms of everyday speech more than high eloquence, and paradox because the world is like that. I think laterally and value wit. My friends know me as an iconoclast who loves theater because it’s collaborative, fiction because it’s not, and nonfiction because it helps me figure out what I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
